How are nominations made? Nominations must give details of the work undertaken, its relevance to the main objects of the Prize, and reasons why the person or group should receive the award. Individuals and groups may nominate themselves. Nominations in writing should be sent to The Secretary, Rutland History Society, Rutland County Museum, Catmose Street, Oakham, LW15 9JZ to arrive no later than the 30th April. Nominations by email at can also be accepted. What is the judging process? Nominations are judged by a panel of at least three people appointed by the Society’s Management Committee, at least one of whom is a committee member. Judging of nominations normally takes place May. The panel then makes recommendations to the Management Committee who are responsible for the final decision.   When is the Prize awarded? The prize is normally presented either at the Society’s Annual General Meeting in May, or at social event in June
