The archive of the Oakham estate agent Royce, was donated to the Rutland Record Society in 1983 and deposited at the Record Office for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland in Wigston in 1990. This archive is a collection of documents, maps and folios, from the late nineteenth to the mid twentieth centuries, in some two hundred archive boxes and comprising two thousand, two hundred and thirty seven catalogue entries.Royce’s business activities extended well beyond the boundaries of Rutland, particularly into Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.
